ELIS TRADE CO. was founded in 2012 in Istanbul, by Tolga Capanoglu, who still serves as the Managing Partner of the company.
ELIS primarily focused on international commodity trading. Starting its journey with providing brokerage services in the medical and healthcare industry, ELIS now is a global player in various industries. From agriculture to machinery, textile to chemical specialties, furniture to metals, industrial minerals to pipes, ELIS offers its clients a wide range of products. Representing 75+ sellers and buyers around the globe, ELIS aims for maximum client satisfaction.

In addition to its main operation, ELIS also invests to grow companies and serves as an advisory body. We aim to create a sustainable future and invest accordingly.
With our 15+ limited local partners in Italy, United Kingdom, United States, China, and India, we are here to help. Using our extensive network, we facilitate the sourcing, marketing, processing and financing of various commodities/products.

MEET THE TEAM
Tolga Çapanoglu - Managing Partner
Tolga ÇapanoÄŸlu, who graduated from METU business administration department in 1998, served as senior consultant at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young companies. In the following years, he served as the head of risk management of Bank Pozitif, and he currently has initiatives in different sectors and continues to serve as a board member/partner in various companies. His areas of expertise include international trade, business development, real estate development, risk management, financial modeling-financial engineering.
Alperen Çetin - Partner
Alperen Çetin is an entrepreneur who currently works in his family business which focused on packaged food and restaurants based in Eskisehir, Turkey. He graduated from Bocconi University with a Bachelors´s Degree in International Economics and Finance in Milano, Italy. He also has a Masters in Management Degree specialized in International Business from IE University in Madrid, Spain. Previously, he had internships in an Italian manufacturer company, Candy Hoover, and in a Turkish manufacturer, Alp Aviation. He also founded a company in Italy focused on trade between Italy and Turkey.
Akın Yücel - Partner
Akin Yucel is an international capital markets analyst at an investment bank based in Istanbul. He provides institutional clients such as leading investment banks and fund managers around the world with financial analysis of Turkish public companies in addition to research on market-moving geopolitical events. Prior to this, he worked as a geopolitical risk consultant for Eurasia Group in New York City. He also spent a summer in Washington DC working as a research assistant at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. He was actively involved with the Turkish-American business community. He interned at Revo Capital – a venture capital based in Istanbul – and IS Bank’s portfolio management department. He also has experience offering consulting services to South African tech start-ups and Uber’s Cape Town office. He holds degrees in Economics and Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia.
